AECT Leadership Internship Program Evaluation Criteria
The AECT Leadership Internship Program Coordinator, in cooperation with the Leadership Development Committee, is responsible for recruiting three (3) current leaders in the field to evaluate Leadership Internship applications. Reviewers will use the following guidelines to evaluate applications.  
REMINDER: Applications for the 2017 AECT Leadership Internship Program are due by June 5, 2017. This includes a sponsor letter in support of your application. Please allow enough time for your sponsor to submit this letter by the due date, June 5.

Eligibility Determination
  1. Is the applicant a currently enrolled graduate student in accredited university program related to the field (Strohbehn) or a new professional who has graduated within the last three years (Cochran)?
  2. Is the applicant’s sponsor a current member of AECT and was a letter of support submitted?

Vita reinforces leadership experiences described in application, but no other leadership or service activities are listed. No vita provided or no leadership experience exhibited on vita.
Sponsor letter - strength Letter contains specific details regarding applicant’s leadership potential and benefit of the program to the applicant. Letter is nonspecific regarding applicant’s leadership potential or benefit of the program to the applicant. Letter contains reservations regarding applicant’s leadership potential or benefit of the program to the applicant.
Sponsor letter – AECT commitment Letter identifies specific ways in which applicant will contribute to AECT in the future. Letter is non-specific of how the applicant could contribute to AECT. Letter does not reference how the applicant could contribute to AECT
