AECT International Division Distinquished Service Award
AECT's Distinguished
Service Award is presented to an individual for outstanding leadership
in advancing the theory and/or practice of educational communications and
technology for over 10 years. Suggested areas include but are not limted
to:
- Leadership
- Development / Production
- Major contribution to education outside the U.S.
- Research / Theory
- Publication
Recommendations from three references must be submitted in order for the nomination to be considered.
The awardee receives a plaque presented during the awards ceremony at the annual convention and a one-year
membership to AECT. If awardee is an AECT life-time member then the awardee may donate the one-year membership
to AECT's Human Capital Campaign.
Criteria:
- The nominee need not be a member of AECT.
- Nominee must not have previously received this award.
- AECT Board of Directors and/or Award Committee responsibilities cannot be included in a nomination for
a sitting Board member or Award Committee member.
- The award may be given posthumously.
