20. What do I do if I have a school library media specialist program?

School library media specialists are expected to provide evidence related to each domain in the initial standards. Thus, indicators related to each standard can and should be used to evaluate the professional competency of school library media specialists whose programs are focused on P-12 school applications. As with all indicators within each standard, candidates are not expected to provide evidence of every indicator. Additionally, indicators in each standard marked with a “*” are specifically oriented toward the preparation of school library media specialists and have particular relevance to their role.
