As the Association for Educational Communications & Technology (AECT) embarks on the next 100 years of educational technology, we stand at a pivotal moment in the evolution of teaching and learning. The AECT International Convention is the premier global platform for exchanging groundbreaking scholarship and effective practices in instructional design, educational technology, and systemic approaches to learning design and technology. Our community of instructional designers, educators, administrators, and industry leaders plays a vital role in shaping the future of education.
The 2024 convention provides us with an opportunity to gather and recognize the significance of our shared mission, collaborate, and exchange ideas that can make a real impact on how we teach and learn. This year, the convention especially welcomes presentations that address critical issues intersecting technology, inclusivity, equity, and ethics within education as we navigate the complexities of our field and its impact on broader societal challenges. This is your opportunity to share your scholarship, practices, and experiences with an international audience, engage in meaningful discussions, and contribute to advancing our field. We invite you to submit proposals for both virtual and in-person presentations. As you consider which modality to select for your submission, keep in mind that AECT will be offering in-person one-day registration rates in Kansas City to encourage participation from local business, industry, and education leaders. Additionally, all presentations in Kansas City will be broadcast for virtual attendees to participate.

- Virtual Presentations, if accepted, will be scheduled October 1-3, and all presenters will be on Zoom.
- In-Person Presentations, if accepted, will be scheduled October 19-23, and all presenters must be in Kansas City
