Research and Survey Requests

AECT Operational Policy for Survey Requests (Updated 3/20/2024)

AECT Members may submit their research survey request and evidence of IRB approval to their Division Leadership Team.

  • Eligibility to disseminate research survey:
    • AECT member
    • Evidence of IRB approval
    • Registered member in the respective division
  • The Division Leadership team confirms the eligibility of the requester. AECT Membership can be confirmed by using the Membership Directory within Higher Logic or reaching out to AECT staff at aect@aect.org.
  • The research survey is emailed to active division members.
  • AECT members may submit research survey requests to multiple divisions, but they must be a registered and active member of those divisions.
  • Beyond a survey requester's submission of an already approved IRB form from their respective institutions to the Division Leadership, Division Leadership teams are not responsible for checking IRB approval.
  • AECT and Division Leadership teams are not responsible for creating surveys or collecting their results.
  • AECT and Division Leadership teams have the right to deny requests based upon ineligibility or due to the survey not being related to the specific Division’s focus.
