Job Title: Paid Marketing Coordinator Intern
Reports To: Director of Operations
Position Type: Part-Time (half-time 50% [20-hours a week] with potential to increase to 80%-time [32-hours a week] within 16 months).
Location: 100% remote (other than Annual Staff Meetings & Conventions each year) in the following U.S. states: Any U.S. state; *however, candidate/s must be willing to work Pacific, Mountain, or Central, Eastern Time Zone hours.
Salary Range: $17.00 per hour and/or roughly $1,360 per month for monthly salary

We have members from all 50 states and around the world along with International Affiliate partners all passionate about finding better ways to help people learn using educational technology.
Job Summary: The Marketing Coordinator Intern will be instrumental in creating and implementing our marketing content calendar with a strong focus on creativity and adherence to emerging best practices. This role coordinates marketing efforts across the association to enhance member engagement, outreach, and support for various AECT activities using social media, online member management tools, and other digital marketing mediums. This role is critical for the planned continue modernization of AECT social media, videography, and digital marketing plans.
Key Responsibilities:
· Develop and manage a marketing content calendar in collaboration with the IT Support Coordinator.
· Coordinate marketing strategies across the association for member engagement and outreach.
· Understand and target the Enrollment stakeholder audience with tailored social media marketing strategies.
· Support various marketing channels including social media, email, web, print, and video.
· Generate monthly social media/ marketing reports, analyze metrics, identify trends, and provide insights for optimization and improvement as necessary.
· Ensure all documents adhere to brand guidelines and update AECT’s website to provide synchronized messaging to AECT membership.
Additional Responsibilities:
Assisting the IT Support Coordinator and Director of Operations
· Develop, create and film social content aligned with enrollment business goals.
· Engage with the audience on social media platforms to foster interaction and maintain engagement.
· Manage and contribute to the content planning, publishing, and monitoring of social media accounts.
· Create social media video content plans, write scripts, film, and edit videos for public channels.
· Organize and manage the digital and physical archive of design projects.
· Collaborate with external graphic designers as needed.
· Produce content for emails, e-newsletters, social media, and other electronic communications.
· Keep the association's website updated with current information, benefits, and events.
· Assist with badging and digital gamification efforts by AECT.
Qualifications:
· Proven experience in social media management and content creation.
· Strong understanding of marketing strategies and branding.
· Excellent communication, writing, and editing skills.
· Proficiency in social media platforms and analytics tools.
· Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment using tools such as Outlook, Zoom, and Higher Logic Membership Management.
· Strong customer service experience and a natural ability to engage with customers (or members) utilizing membership management and/or customer management software.
· Must have familiarity with AECT as an organization.
Position Requirements
· Must provide own home office or secure remote work location with highspeed internet along with any needed office equipment items such as desk, chair, monitor, printer, laptop etc.
· AECT is a U.S. Based & Registered Non-Profit Professional Association. Candidates must be registered to work in the United States prior to applying.
· At AECT expense, staff member must be willing to travel out of state, to include internationally, roughly 5% time (2 weeks per year) for up to 1-week blocks to help with conventions and other AECT activities; to include loading/ unloading equipment and materials needed for the conventions for shipping (e.g., monitors, laptops, books, etc.).
