Summit Convening

The central gathering of the week, bringing all participants together for dialogue, collaboration, and collective action around the future of scholarly publishing.

The Summit Convening is the shared centerpiece of the week, bringing together all participants for two days of focused discussion, practical exchange, and collaborative exploration. The program is designed to surface current challenges in scholarly publishing while also creating space to imagine and shape what comes next.

Throughout Monday and Tuesday, participants will engage with leaders across the publishing ecosystem, take part in editorial and workshop sessions, and contribute to conversations that connect research, practice, access, and innovation.

Transition Day

A lighter-paced day designed to bridge the close the Summit Convening and the beginning of the Writing Studio.

Wednesday is intentionally lighter in pace, offering a gentle transition between the energy of the Summit experience and the focused work of the Post-Summit Writing Studio.

Writing Studio

A focused, studio-based experience for participants who opt into the full week.

The Post-Summit Writing Studio is an intensive manuscript development experience designed to support scholars at different stages of the writing and publication process. Participants will engage in structured studio sessions organized around four stage-based clusters:

Across Thursday and Friday, participants will work closely with peers and facilitators in a supportive environment built for feedback, momentum, and meaningful progress. Each session is designed to help participants move their projects forward through active development rather than passive discussion.

On Friday afternoon, the studio shifts toward collaborative publication design, creating space for new connections, shared ideas, and emerging publication possibilities.
